Mr. Cloes shares a passion for food and spices dating back to his childhood heritage from Africa and Belgium. His student and professional life took him to new local as well as ethnic food horizons in the Southern region and West Coast of the United States where he worked over 10 years as a lawyer in Los Angeles. In a later professional chapter covering the following 10 years he held senior management positions in US. multinational companies in Europe where he rediscovered the many regional culinary traditions as well as the rich flavors of South East Asia and India during numerous travels.
While a lawyer, Mr. Cloes co-authored EU Business Law, West Publishing 1995. He is working on his next book 'Revenue Models in International Haute Cuisine'.
Mr. Cloes is an active Board member in several civic and professional associations in the United States and Europe.
Mr. Cloes doit sa passion pour la cuisine et les épices à son enfance en Afrique et en Belgique. Son parcours d'étudiant et ses débuts professionnels l'ont emmené vers de nouveaux horizons culinaires – terroirs régionaux autant que cuisine 'ethnique' des nouveaux immigrants – au Sud des Etats Unis ainsi que sur la Côte Ouest où il a vécu 10 ans et exercé le métier d'avocat à Los Angeles. Les 10 années suivantes l'ont vu revenir en Europe en tant que cadre au sein de grands groupes américains. Il a alors redécouvert les régions d'Europe et leurs terroirs traditionnels ainsi que les riches saveurs d'Asie et d'Inde au cours de nombreux voyages.
Mr. Cloes a publié EU Business Law, west Publishing 1995. Il travaille sur un livre traitant des 'Modes de Revenus en Gastronomie Internationale'.
Mr. Cloes est actif au sein de plusieurs associations civiques et professionelles aux Etats-Unis et en Europe.
